HOSA Alabama

HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. The Bibb County Career Academy has long been the site of HOSA education for the Bibb County School System. Last year, in partnership with Shelton State Community College, the Bibb County Board of Education received a grant for 2.8 million dollars to build a new medical academy on the campus of Bibb Medical Center. This year Bibb Medical Center will be the site for all HOSA instruction and clinicals at their new training facility.

“We are thrilled to have an opportunity like this where we can really build something that transforms career trajectories in our rural community,” said Joseph Marchant, CEO of Bibb Medical Center.

What does this mean for students?

BMC Training Facility

New technology and equipment at Bibb Medical Center's Training Facility will allow students more real life simulations. Being on-site at Bibb Medical Center's campus will allow more instruction to take place outside of the classroom and inside the facility of BMC. Hands on learning is key for student success!
