Bibb Medical Center has continuously upgraded equipment to stay current with the latest technology available. This new technology allows faster exam times with exceptional image quality while using a low-dose X-ray. We are able to provide patients with the highest quality of services with state-of-the-art equipment. The radiology department is staffed with radiologic technologists and board-certified radiologists who are available via tele-radiology for emergency interpretations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This allows for quicker results and diagnosis by the attending physician.

All modalities within the imaging department are inspected annually by a board-certified physicist and inspected every 3 years by the Alabama Department of Public Health Radiation Control Division.
The mammography department is accredited by the American College of Radiology and certified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). This ensures quality standards for equipment, personnel, and practices
