For Medicare patients the first 20 days are reimbursed 100%, days 21-100 there is a coinsurance that is due daily. A Medicare patient is allowed 100 days of skilled care before benefits are exhausted. For Medicare there is a 3 midnight Acute Care stay required and must be certified by a physician.
